What is Ergonomics?
Ergonomics applies the art and science of design for human performance. Participative ergonomics (participatory ergonomics) involves co-design with workers, respecting their knowledge as subject-matter experts, so that they become the architects of superior work design; they create magic and improve their health through the design process using work as a medium. Organisations benefit from the savvy leadership required to operationalise these practices and improvements are found in productivity, efficiency, workforce climate, procurement strategy, sustainable work practices, and health and safety. Ergonomics may also be referred to as
human factors engineering.
Viva Health at Work specialise in participative ergonomics. Our concern is the welfare of your workplace, people and culture.
